Nothing burns without ullage.
In zero gravity, fuel floats and the engine can't reach it. Before every big burn there is a minimal push that settles everything. We do that with companies.
Our inspiration
01Wine evaporates through the wood. The gap between the liquid and the lid is the ullage — what is missing to fill it. Too much of it means oxygen, and oxygen ruins the wine, so cellar masters measured it obsessively.
In zero gravity the propellant doesn't rest on the floor of the tank: it floats in globules, and the ullage can sit right over the pump inlet. Light the main engine like that and it fails.
Small auxiliary motors fired for a few seconds before translunar injection, settling the fuel against the outlet. That minimal push was the condition for everything else. Without it, a stage with all its power was worth nothing.
Most companies have resources, a team and a product — and nothing lights, because the gesture that settles it is missing. Technology rarely fails for lack of power. It fails for lack of initial direction.
We are not your engine. You already have that. We are the push that lets you light it.
What we do
02We build software with AI at a fraction of the cost, in record time.
Mission & vision
03Give a company the shortest push that makes what it already has usable.
Short engagements, real software in production, and a price attached to your growth. Then we get out of the way — a push, never a dependency.
Software should take weeks, not quarters — at a fraction of today's cost.
We are building the studio that proves it, one ignition at a time, in public and with numbers instead of adjectives.

06 · before you write to usWhat is an AI-native software studio?
A studio that uses AI across the entire build, not just inside the finished product. That is what lets a small team ship what used to need a large one: working software in production in weeks, at roughly a fifth of market cost, with no team for you to hire or carry.
How long does it take to build an MVP?
Six weeks from zero to production is the standard engagement. Week one is scope and architecture, weeks two to five are build and review cycles, week six is deployment and handover. You own the repository from the first commit, not from the last invoice.
How much does it cost and how do you charge?
A fixed part for the build plus a variable part tied to one metric you choose. If the metric does not move, we do not charge the variable part. The scope is written down before anything starts, and you get it in the first thirty-minute call whether you hire us or not.
What are AI agents and when are they worth building?
Software that carries a process end to end instead of waiting for clicks: quoting, onboarding, document handling, triage. They pay off wherever a task is repetitive, rule-heavy, and measured in hours or days rather than minutes — and where the rules are written down somewhere.
How is this different from a dev shop or an outsourcing vendor?
A dev shop sells hours of a team you have to manage; we sell the outcome and hand it over finished. No hour pool, no assigned squad to keep busy, and the price is tied to your metric rather than to how many people are sitting on the project.
Do you work with companies in the United States and Europe?
Yes. Montevideo runs on UTC-3: the same working day as the US East Coast and a shared morning with Europe. We work in English and Spanish, and everything we build is yours — repository, infrastructure and documentation — from day one.
Do we need our own developers afterwards?
No. The engagement is a push, not a dependency. It ends with you owning the code, the infrastructure and the documentation, and you carry on with your own team, another vendor, or us — whatever the product needs at that point.
Why is the studio called Ullage?
Ullage is the empty space in a fuel tank. In zero gravity the fuel floats and the engine cannot reach it, so before every big burn a small motor fires to settle everything. That is the shape of the work: the minimal push that lets a company light.
We grow when you grow.
Tell us what is built and what isn't moving.
Thirty minutes. You leave with a written scope, whether you hire us or not. If we are not the push you need, we say so on the same call.
